Thomas Automotive loves our community and local businesses! We're committed to providing our customers with the best service possible, and we want to recognize other local businesses that do the same.

 

Thomas Automotive is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the community for over 100 years. Mark Thomas is the fourth generation of the Thomas family to lead the company. He is committed to continuing the legacy of his family by providing customers with the best possible automotive experience and upholding the core values of trust, dedication, and safety.

 

We are excited to showcase other local businesses that are making a positive impact in our community. Thomas Automotive is committed to supporting local businesses and helping them to grow, and we encourage you to do the same.

Randy's BiLo
Windber, PA and Johnstown, PA

Randy's BiLo is a family-owned grocery store that serves the communities of Winder and Johnstown, PA .  The store is known for its fresh produce, meats, and seafood, as well as its friendly and knowledgeable staff. 

"We pride ourselves on being a surprising store.  While not the largest in the area, but on that has a lot more than you would think." says owner Randy Salem.  Randy started working in the business in 1979 when BiLo was formally known as GEE BEE.  In 2008, Randy purchased both the Winder and Johnstown locations and that's when it became Randy's BiLo.  

 

2025 Car Show and Customer Appreciation Day

What a fantastic day! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Car Show & Customer Appreciation Day. We loved seeing all the classic rides and, most importantly, celebrating with our incredible community. We can't wait for next year! 

Cat Yoga Benefiting Bedford County Humane Society

We had an amazing time at Cat Yoga with the Bedford County Humane Society last night! 🐾 A huge thank you to everyone who came out and donated-your generosity makes a real difference for these furry friends.

Helping to spread a little hope!

Our team recently visited the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at the John P. Murtha Pavilion and Somerset Oncology to deliver care packages to patients.

We believe that even small gestures can make a big difference and wanted to show these patients that they're not alone. We're proud to support our community!

Abby’s Angels Animal Haven is our Hometown Charity!

We were so excited to present a check to Abby's Angels Animal Haven, our local Subaru Share the Love charity!

A huge thank you to everyone who purchased, leased, or serviced a car with us during the Subaru Share the Love event. Your support made a big difference, and we're proud to give back to such a wonderful organization.

Subaru Loves the Earth

In honor of Subaru Loves the Earth month and our Arbor Day event, we didn't just stop at giving free trees to community members who registered! 🌳 We were also thrilled to donate several trees to our local Bedford Library!
We're so thankful for everything the library does for our community. We love helping and supporting the place we call home - just another reason to buy a Subaru from us! 

Parking for a Good Cause

We were thrilled to be a proud sponsor of the Bedford Fall Foliage Festival! As part of our commitment to the community, we opened up our parking lot behind the Square Center building to be used for parking during the festival. All proceeds on Weekend 1 went to the Bedford Cross-Country and Track team. On Weekend 2 of the festival, parking spots in our lot were available for purchase to benefit the Bedford Girls Basketball team. We're proud to be part of a community that values its athletes. 

Thanksgiving Food Drive a Success!

We were so grateful to host a Thanksgiving food drive this year! Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to collect a significant amount of food donations. We're especially thankful for Weis Food Markets for their large contribution.

We believe in giving back to our community and are proud to be able to help those in need, especially during the holiday season.

Chestnut Ridge Claims Victory at the Thomas Automotive Tip-Off Tournament

This October for Subaru Loves Pets, we're spreading the love!

We're proud to donate $4,000 to our local animal shelter, helping more furry friends find their forever homes. Together, we're making a difference in our community.

We also hosted a Pet Adoption Event where several animals found their new loving homes.

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center

In partnership with Subaru of America's charity program, Subaru Loves to Care, Thomas Automotive is happy to announce a recent donation to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Johnstown. Aiming to bring comfort to patients undergoing treatment, Thomas Automotive's team delivered cozy blankets to the center. These blankets are a gesture of support for both the patients and the dedicated staff at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.

La Poco Diablo Tacos

These local rockstars brought their famous flavors to our dealership recently, and let's just say, they did not disappoint!   We loved seeing everyone enjoy their delicious food. We're big fans of supporting local businesses, and La Poco Diablo Tacos is a prime example of the amazing options we have right here in our community.  Haven't tried them yet?  We highly recommend it!  You won't regret it.

Bedford County Pink Ribbon Fund Receives Generous Donation from Thomas Subaru

Thomas Subaru recently presented a heartwarming donation to the Bedford County Pink Ribbon Fund. The contribution stemmed from the Subaru Share the Love Event, a national initiative where Subaru dealerships donate a portion of proceeds from new car sales or leases to charities chosen by customers.

Recognizing the critical role the Pink Ribbon Fund plays in supporting local breast cancer patients and survivors, Thomas Subaru designated the organization as a beneficiary. This generous donation will significantly impact the Fund's ability to offer financial assistance, emotional support, and vital resources to those in need.

Kathy Erlichman, a two-time breast cancer survivor and the Fund's Chairperson, was present to receive the contribution. The donation exemplifies Thomas Subaru's commitment to giving back to the community and supporting causes that matter most.

Car Wash Fundraiser

The Thomas Bedford car wash fundraiser was a hit! Our community came together to support the Chestnut Ridge Recreational Cheer team and got their cars sparkling clean in the process. They also enjoyed delicious treats from Jenny's Sweet Treats and Jackie's Groovy Cheese Truck!

Bedford Youth Softball Donation from Thomas Bedford!

At Thomas Bedford, we believe in investing in the future, and that starts with our young people. That's why we're proud to announce a $500 donation and essential supplies to Bedford Youth Softball!

This incredible organization provides young athletes with the tools they need to succeed, not just on the field, but also in life. We share their passion for teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition - values that build strong, well-rounded young adults.

Supporting School Spirit at Bedford High!

We're thrilled to announce our donation to the Bedford High School Cheer Boosters in their quest for a new Bedford Bison mascot!

Their tireless fundraising efforts are one step closer to achieving this goal thanks to your contribution. The new mascot will be a constant presence at sporting events, pep rallies, and other school functions, igniting school spirit and uniting the entire Bedford Bison community - students, athletes, and everyone in between!

Teen of the Week

Huge congrats to George Kuhne for being named Teen of the Year!  Out of 31 incredible graduating teens, George stood out for his achievements. He was recognized at the Teen of the Week reception and even awarded a well-deserved $2,500 scholarship from Thomas Automotive and the Bedford Gazette. We're so proud, George! Keep inspiring others!

Thomas Collects Baskets for Easter for Eli

Instilled by the spirit of giving, Easter for Eli, a local non-profit, tirelessly brings Easter cheer to hospitalized children. This year, Thomas Automotive joined their mission, collecting delightful Easter baskets by overflowing a 2024 Subaru Forester with age-specific gifts for the young patients. We firmly believe that even a small act of kindness can have a significant impact, and we hope our contribution will illuminate their Easter and bring smiles to their faces.

The Thomas Automotive Wrestling Tournament at Bedford High School

At Thomas Automotive, we're committed to supporting our community, and that includes fostering the next generation of athletes. That's why we proudly sponsored and brought a 2024 Subaru Outback to the recent Bedford High School wrestling tournament. This annual event brings together talented wrestlers from the region, showcasing their dedication and sportsmanship. By sponsoring the tournament, we helped ensure its success and provided a platform for these young athletes to compete and shine. We believe in the values of hard work, determination, and teamwork, all qualities that are fostered through wrestling. Thomas Subaru and Operation Warm Join Forces to Provide Winter Essentials to Children in Need

In the spirit of Subaru Loves to Help® month, Thomas Subaru proudly filled a 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness and donated brand-new winter essentials to the Center for Community Action. This ensured that local children received the crucial gear they need to stay warm and comfortable throughout the winter season. This will not only allow them to attend school without worry but also empower them to participate in winter activities with their peers. We believe the impact of this initiative extends far beyond providing warmth. When children feel confident and comfortable in their winter gear, they are better equipped to focus on learning, build friendships, and participate fully in every aspect of their lives. Each coat, shoe, and sock represents a symbol of hope, empowerment, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive and reach their full potential.

The Humane Society's rescue of 90 dogs prompted Thomas to make donations to support the effort

The recent rescue of 90 dogs from neglect by the Bedford County Humane Society is a powerful reminder of their unwavering commitment to animal welfare. Their compassion in the face of such suffering inspires deep admiration. These tireless individuals dedicate themselves to making a difference for animals in need, and their stories remind us of the incredible impact we can all have. Inspired by their actions, we filed a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek and donated food and a check to support the ongoing care and rehabilitation of these rescued pups. However, the need for community support remains constant. The Humane Society relies heavily on your generosity to continue their vital work.

Subaru Share the Love Event at Thomas Bedford Subaru

During the Subaru Share the Love event, Thomas Subaru donated $250 to your choice of charities with every new Subaru purchased or leased. They also donated an additional $100 to the Bedford County Pink Ribbon Fund for each vehicle sold or leased in your community. Additionally, Thomas Subaru donated $5 to their Hometown Charity for every Subaru vehicle routine service visit during the Share the Love Event.

Thomas Subaru's Pet Adoption Event with Bedford County Humane Society

Thomas Subaru Bedford is proud to support the Subaru Loves Pets initiative in partnership with the Bedford County Humane Society. This commitment goes beyond the financial, as evidenced by their recent Pet Adoption Event held at the dealership in October 2023. The event provided a welcoming space for people to meet and potentially adopt their furry companions from the Humane Society. The 2024 Subaru Ascent in our showroom was dog approved. This initiative exemplifies Thomas Subaru Bedford's dedication to finding loving homes for all animals. Their commitment extends beyond the event, with the dealership serving as a year-round donation site for pet food and supplies, directly benefiting the Bedford County Humane Society and the animals in their care.

Thomas Subaru Donates to Bedford Elementary School

Bedford Subaru believes every student deserves a chance to reach their full potential. That's why they're proud supporters of the Subaru Loves Learning® initiative. We filled a 2024 Subaru Forester Wilderness for our recent donation to Bedford Elementary School with essential supplies like pencils, notebooks, and backpacks. We also sponsored a classroom, giving the teacher resources to create a dynamic learning environment.
