In celebration of Subaru Loves the Earth month, Thomas Bedford Subaru partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to help grow a greener Bedford! Our showroom got a little extra green when our delivery of ready-to-plant saplings officially arrived, all waiting to head to their new homes in our community. These free trees do so much more than just look good—they help cool our neighborhoods, improve air quality, and provide vital habitats for our local wildlife. A huge thank you to everyone who reserved and picked up a sapling to plant in their own backyard. We love supporting our local environment and appreciate our community's dedication to keeping Bedford beautiful!
Thomas Bedford Subaru - Exclusive Automotive Sponsor of Saint Francis University Athletics! - Haylee H
Thomas Automotive is making it official! We are incredibly proud to serve as the exclusive automotive sponsor for Saint Francis University, and we recently celebrated by handing over the keys to a new Subaru Outback during the university's athletic picnic to support the Red Flash department. To keep the excitement going, our team brought a lineup of Subaru's finest right to the Maurice Stokes Athletics Center. We had a fantastic time setting up outside, chatting with the Red Flash community, and showing off the versatile Crosstrek, the sporty Impreza, and the adventurous Outback. We love supporting our local student-athletes and university staff, and we look forward to a great partnership ahead!
Bedford Food Outreach - Share the Love Event at Thomas Bedford Subaru - Haylee H
We wrapped up the Subaru Share the Love Event with a heart full of gratitude! For every new Subaru purchased or leased during the event, a $250 donation was designated to give back to the community, allowing Thomas Subaru to proudly support our local hometown charity, Bedford Food Outreach. Thanks to the incredible choices of our customers, we were able to raise a total of $6,370 to help fight food insecurity right here in Bedford. These funds go directly toward supporting families and making a real, daily impact on our neighbors. Thank you to everyone who bought or leased a vehicle to help make this fantastic donation possible!
Pet Adoption Event at Thomas Subaru - Haylee H
We had an absolute blast hosting a pet adoption event right here at Thomas Subaru in Bedford! It was a beautiful, sunny day filled with a lot of love, delicious bites from the La Feight Family Concessions food truck, and, best of all, some incredibly sweet dogs and kittens looking for their forever homes. We are always proud to partner with local shelters to give these amazing animals the visibility they deserve. A huge thank you to everyone who came out, grabbed some food, and supported the cause—and especially to those who left with a brand-new best friend!

It was incredibly meaningful to have support from a local retailer like Subaru Loves to Help. Their partnership made us feel seen, valued, and uplifted as part of a community that truly cares about the well‑being of our children and families. Knowing that a local business is willing to invest in our mission reinforces that we're not doing this work alone. The coats and shoes they provided will make a profound difference for the children we serve. For many of them, these items are more than just clothing—they're a source of comfort, confidence, and dignity. This gift helps ensure that our kids can show up to school and daily activities warm, safe, and ready to learn. In addition to supporting our youth population, these coats are also distributed during the annual Point in Time count we conduct each winter. They allow us to provide warmth and essential protection to homeless individuals and families who are facing the harshest conditions of the year. For our organization, this partnership strengthens our ability to meet critical needs across the community and deepens our connection to partners who share our commitment to helping people thrive.

This past September, Thomas Automotive Subaru in Bedford was buzzing with activity for our special pet adoption event! In the spirit of the Subaru Loves Pets commitment, we welcomed many adorable dogs and kittens from a local rescue, all ready to meet their future families. The event was a community success, featuring delicious food from the La Feight Family Concessions food truck under beautiful sunny skies. It was an incredible day where community support, great food, and the joy of finding a new best friend perfectly aligned with the Subaru Love Promise. We were thrilled to help so many sweet animals find their loving, forever homes!

In celebration of Subaru Loves Pets Month this October, Thomas Subaru Bedford hosted a special pet adoption event in partnership with the Allegany County Animal Shelter. Members of our community were invited to visit the dealership to meet several adoptable dogs and cats from the shelter. We believe deeply in the Subaru Love Promise and its commitment to animal welfare. Every dog and cat available for adoption is healthy and ready for their next chapter. We encouraged everyone to join us in supporting the shelter's mission and helping these wonderful animals find their perfect, forever homes.

Thomas Subaru PA Teams Up to Support Local Community - Karen D
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Bedford, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Thomas Subaru PA is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Thomas Subaru PA have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/15/2025, Thomas Subaru PA donated 120 coats to Center Community Action of Bedford. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
